It’s been a long and enriching journey thus far, and we at Ray of Hope would like to share our experiences of the Independence Day Celebrations that we conducted at Pocharam Village. It was a well planned event with lots of people showing up for the cause and contributing heavily. We were greeted with all the warmth and love by all the children and staff at the Good Samaritan’s Children’s Home.
The event started off with the flag hoisting ceremony, with the Indian National Anthem in the background. This was followed by lunch.
Above all, our main purpose to visit the village was to provide educational facilities to the children and also look into the progress of the construction of the school, home, etc for the children. We provided the children with a huge supply of stationery, uniforms and funds for their educational purposes.
