Highlights: Kick-started our Delhi Chapter with the celebration of Muskaan’s Birthday in collaboration with Global Consulting Giant Opera Solutions
We at Ray of Hope are very happy to announce the successful launch of our Delhi chapter along with global giant Opera Solutions with the Birthday celebration of Muskan, an eight-year-old orphan girl residing at Asharan Orphanage in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. Our ROH-Delhi team visited the place with a Birthday dress for Muskan, a gift for the Birthday girl, a Birthday cake, snacks, cold drinks, and burgers for lunch for the children and the Office staff at the Orphanage. The celebrations started with Muskan cutting her Birthday cake in a room decorated with balloons and colorful ribbons especially for the occasion. There are about 16 children residing in the Orphanage right from toddlers to children in the age group of 7-9 years, who performed a group dance number to entertain us. We interacted with each of these kids in person and were really touched by the way they got thrilled with our visit to their place. It can never be expressed in words as to how elated we felt on seeing smiles on their little faces. We also played with them and we tried to become kids all over again just being with them. We also interacted with the officers in the Orphanage and it was really heartening to know the backgrounds of each of these kids and how their parents had abandoned them. Having spent hours with them, we finally called it a day and returned with smiles on our faces but with heavy hearts!
In a nutshell, it was a lovely experience and we will go about remembering all our lives. We strongly feel that there are a lot more such people around us who need our care and attention. Therefore, it is an earnest appeal to all our friends to look around and explore such opportunities simply because the joy and the amount of satisfaction you can achieve by adding smiles on the faces of such people can never be gained by any material things or bought from anywhere. We look forward to a great experience in the near future.
